Like the dark, bittersweet fruit that gives the band its name, Cassis create music that is rich, brooding and hauntingly evocative. Whether it’s their clever adaptations of French folk classics, by poets / singer-songwriters such as: Georges Brassens, Georges Moustaki, and Jacques Brel, or their own beautifully melancholic original songs, this duo take listeners on a journey that meanders, lingers and poetically wanders the many paths of the human heart.
Fast becoming a regular feature at festivals and local jazz clubs – Cassis is carving out a name for themselves both locally and beyond.
Cassis is comprised of Veronique Ramen on vocals and Jon Edwards on guitar.
